News

The News content type is best used for content that you want to be activated by a publish date and time that you pre-set. This is helpful when you want to draft a news story in advance but don't want it to appear on the live web site until a later date or time. This content type is also useful for creating a section of announcements that you can easily promote to the homepage using the Promotions feature.

Click on Add Item to create a News Item (a new story or announcement). The News content type is sorted by the publish date.

• Headline - Enter the headline for this News Item. This headline will appear as a link to the full Item on your Live Site.
  
• Publish Date/Time - Enter the date and time you want this News Item to appear on your website.
  
• Display Date/Time? - Choose one of the options.

• Summary - Type a brief summary of this News Item or announcement. This will display on the initial page that lists all of the items, and can also be displayed as part of a Promotion.

• Body - Type the main content of this News Item or announcement.
  

• Contact Information - This is a text box for contact information relating to the News Item.
• You can also use the Additional Content options.
